A tiltrotor is an aerial vehicle that uses large helicopter-style rotors to take off and land vertically, but tilts or swivels those same rotors to provide thrust for horizontal flight, with wings to provide lift once airborne. Often used for agricultural aircraft on newly colonized worlds.
